Kaka unveiled today... in front of 50000+ madrid fans

Today was a special day... the day that the new era of "galacticos" began. The unveiling of Kaka was the highlight of all sports media outlets (other than ESPN, as america doesn't really care about football) whether on websites or televisions. Many football fans around the world have argued for the past few years that Kaka is the best football player on the planet....


Since Zinedine Zidane retired after the 2006 world cup, the status of "best footballer" has been assimilated with Lionel Messi and Kaka. Personally I think that Messi is the better entertainer on the pitch.... but Kaka provides the better overall play as he leads by example and rarely mouths at the refs or even argues with his own teammates. He is a quiet leader.... who reminds fans of Zidane for his ability to come through in crucial moments yet not be considered a icon like c. ronaldo.

Kaka will now have the chance, as Real Madrid's attacking leader, to prove that he is just like the great Zizou... he will play the same position as Zidane and play on the same pitch.... time will tell whether fans are right about Kaka's similarity to Zidane..... all that is needed are amazing goals like those attached below.

The one thing that Kaka has on Zidane for the moment is glamour.... Kaka appears in fashion shows and even in this commercial.....

for the moment Zidane is the better footballer and Kaka the better fashionista.... but knowing brazilian talents... something tells me that Kaka will be the better player as well..... only time will tell

A substitute to the red card.... taser guns!!

The moment a ref shows the red card is often changing...... for one thing a player is ejected and in most cases a player is injured as well. This is tragic... at least for the fans, as one of the 22 actors is sent to the make up room early (locker room). So the game is now 10 on 11 which although it's only one player difference... it's actually about 9.1% of a difference.

That's right the opposite team has 109.1 % more power than the team which just received a red card.
For you automobile lovers imagine a Ferrari f430 (480 or so hp) racing a Lamborghini gallardo superleggera(520+ hp)... yea it's that crazy a difference (sarcasm, in case you are a Sheldon Cooper and didn't get it)

Now back to the idea... instead of brandishing the red card, the referee could just attach a wireless taser bracelet and give the team which has just been fouled the remote. This remote would have the ability to be pushed a maximum amount of times of half of the jersey number on the back of the guilty player.

Thus if the player wears number 1... he doesn't get tased.... but if he were to wear the number 22.... then the team would have 11 opportunities to tase him throughout the remnants of the game.

And this player would be forced to take all penalty kicks, if any were to be accorded to his team, this way the other team could tase him as he runs to the spot and it would provide comical moments to the game we all love.


... the message here is: play smart and stop getting foolish red cards or else this may make it's way to Sepp Blatter, the president of FIFA.... and I'm sure he would approve of it.

Real Madrid's Lavish Expenditures

Real Madrid recently bought C. Ronaldo and Kaka for a total close to 150 million euros. They "have" the money so there is no reason to criticize them on this point but one question I have is what were they thinking spending all of this money while they already have talent on the pitch and bench? The likes of Robben, Drenthe, Gago, Higuain all can play.

With the arrival of Kaka and Ronaldo, the task of fielding a proper team will be very difficult because Madrid fans will want to seen them both in action but they both play in attack the majority of the time. Thus, they will take valuable space away from Higuain, Raul and whomever plays at the striker positions for Madrid.

By adding Ronaldo and Kaka, Madrid boost their commercial ability but will they win more..... this situation seems to resemble the 2007 Barcelona team which had to face the fact that it had Eto'o, Messi, Ronaldinho, and Henry all for plausible spots. An attacking mid and 2 strikers... so that there would still be space to conduct the offense and have a midfield.

Madrid I believe will face the same problem, Kaka will want to fill in the role of a 10 and Ronaldo will not stay on the wing but instead try to stay in the position he played with Manchester United... that is one of a free winger where he could slip into the attacking third and roam alone as a striker.

Time will tell whether the staff for Madrid will be able to make the team mesh together and produce the results that all the fans now expect... wins in La Liga and the Champions League.
